Manifesto
You might have the best performance car in the world. Gorgeous design, powerful engine, superb drive dynamics and handling, state of the art control systems etc. But if you don’t know how to drive, it’s bugger all use to you.
And the same goes for AI. If you don’t know how it works, you aren’t going to be able to use it properly. The largest and most popular AI platforms are all built around a foundational principle.
A great prompt creates a great response.
Or, to put it another way, the better the quality of the input, the better the output is going to be.
But sadly, it isn’t that simple.
Ask AI a simple question and you will get a simple answer. But start performing more complex tasks and you can quickly find yourself trapped in a seemingly endless loop of feedback, continual tweaking and frustrating back and forth
The reason this happens is because prompting (as it is right now) doesn’t accurately reflect how we as humans think or communicate.
It’s almost as though we are having to translate our thoughts and feelings into an unfamiliar tongue in order to make AI understand our requirements.
Writing an effective prompt is a head scratching mix of abstract reasoning, structured logic, and trying to comprehend how AI interprets language.
The problem is most of us have never been taught how to do this.
What we have been taught, however, is how to answer questions. Usually in a very specific way.
Think of all those multiple-choice or survey type questions you answered at school or university. You know the ones. You are presented with an A, B, C or D and have to pick the more correct answer.
You probably thought they were useless at the time but turns out that question-and-answer structure is absolutely integral to how we process information, evaluate options, and make decisions.
In short, it’s a mental model deeply embedded in how we communicate. And that’s why we’ve adopted it as the foundation for PromptGPT.
Instead of expecting users to craft the perfect prompt from scratch, PromptGPT recontextualises the process — turning prompt creation into a guided conversation.
A series of clear, structured questions (similar to a survey) lead users along a cognitive path and helps them articulate intent, context, and desired outcomes step by step.
This approach transforms the prompting experience into something familiar and effortless. Users feel guided, not overwhelmed, and the result is a clear, detailed prompt that yields stronger, more relevant AI outputs.
By aligning with pre-existing human mental models, PromptGPT bridges the gap between human communication and technical AI interaction.
The result is a satisfying one.
Both parties understand each other and work together with reduced friction, less time wasted on revisions, fewer tokens consumed, and more scalable AI usage for both individuals and businesses.
